environmental history initiative welcome

The Ohio State University's Environmental History Initiative is a multidisciplinary center where scholars researching historic human interactions with the environment, health and disease, technology, and science reveal insights into the past that also help address the most pressing environmental, climate, health, and technological issues of our time.

Environmental history integrates the social and physical sciences to ascertain the impact that humans have had upon the environment and how environmental factors have influenced the course of human history.
